Rajasthan Divyang Girls Stipend Scheme 2026-27: ₹2000 for Classes 1 to 12 Students

Bikaner: There is good news for girls with special needs studying in government schools of the district. Under the Inclusive Education for the Disabled (IED) programme of Samagra Shiksha, eligible disabled girl students will be given stipend for the academic session 2026-27. Under the Stipend for Girls scheme, every eligible girl will get ₹200 per month for 10 months. This means one girl will receive a maximum financial assistance of ₹2,000 in one academic session. The aim of this scheme is to increase the enrolment and retention of disabled girls in schools and improve the quality of their education.
40 Percent Disability is Mandatory
The scheme will be given to those girls studying in Classes 1 to 12 in government schools who are affected by any of the 21 categories of disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. For eligibility, the girl must have 40 percent or more disability. Along with this, a disability certificate issued by a competent medical authority is also mandatory.
No Benefit if Receiving Amount from Another Department
Girls who are already receiving stipends from the Social Justice and Empowerment Department or any other scheme will not be given the benefit of this scheme. The amount for selected students will be sent to the related schools through SNAC (State Nodal Agency Centre) so that it can be made available every month.
Target to Reach Every Eligible Girl
Wide publicity will be given to ensure that the benefit of the scheme reaches all eligible girls of the district. Information will be displayed on the notice boards of the District Administration, Education Department, Panchayat Samitis, Gram Panchayats, and offices of the Social Justice & Empowerment and Women & Child Development Departments. In case of shortage of budget, a proposal for re-allocation will be sent by reducing the amount of other activities of Inclusive Education.
