Marking Scheme Used for CUET UG 2026
- ✅ Correct Answer: +5 marks
- ❌ Wrong Answer: −1 mark
- ⬜ Unattempted: 0 marks
Score Formula: (5 × Correct Answers) − (1 × Incorrect Answers)
The Equipercentile method was used by NTA to normalise raw scores across multiple shifts and subjects. Maximum marks per subject is 250.
Note: NTA dropped 8 questions from the CUET UG 2026 final answer key. All candidates who appeared in those specific questions will automatically receive +5 marks, whether they attempted the question or not.

Toppers List 2026
NTA has released the gender-wise, category-wise, medium-wise, and subject-wise toppers list along with the result. The top scorers list highlights students who scored 100 percentile in their respective subjects. Last year, the highest recorded aggregate NTA score was 1225.93.

NTA’s role ends with declaring results. Each participating university will now independently release its own admission schedule, merit list, and counselling procedure. - Delhi University (DU) Admissions
Delhi University is expected to open the DU CSAS UG portal 2026 for admission registration through CUET UG scores by the end of this week (around June 25). - BHU Admissions
Banaras Hindu University is expected to soon launch the BHU CAP UG Portal 2026 for admission based on CUET scores. - JNU Admissions
JNU BA (Hons) cutoffs are in percentile format. Candidates should check the official JNU website for specific course-wise cutoffs.
