Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned from his post on 25 July 2026. He announced the decision on social media platforms and said he has submitted his resignation letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the letter Pradhan wrote that he is quitting so anti-national forces cannot take advantage of the situation at Jantar Mantar and other places. He also said he wants Indian students to focus on studies and build their careers without legal problems.
Why Dharmendra Pradhan Resigned – Link to CJP Protest and NEET Paper Leak?
This resignation comes after continuous pressure from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Students and youth were demanding the Education Minister resignation for many weeks because of the NEET paper leak and other exam irregularities.
The CJP protest started after problems in competitive exams and quickly became a big student movement across India.
CJP Reaction to Education Minister Resignation
When the news of Dharmendra Pradhan resignation reached Jantar Mantar, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke told the crowd and people started celebrating. He called it a big victory for the student protest. But Dipke also said the fight is not fully over. CJP still wants one crore rupees compensation for families of students who died by suicide after the NEET issue, and action against police for the force used during the protest.
