ISRO Scientist Recruitment 2026: Applications Open for 93 Posts

Online Applications Underway for Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ Posts

New Delhi, August 7, 2026

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has started online applications for recruitment of 93 Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ posts across multiple engineering disciplines. The recruitment is being done through ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB) and candidates can apply on official website isro.gov.in till August 17, 2026.

Vacancies is available in Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Civil, Electrical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and Architecture disciplines. Posts is spread across ISRO centres in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Sriharikota, Mahendragiri, Hassan and Valiamala. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview on basis of valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 scores.

Eligibility and Selection Process

Candidates should have the prescribed engineering qualification in relevant discipline and valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score in the same subject. ISRO clarified that shortlisting for interview will be done in ratio of 1:7 based on GATE Score only, not marks or rank.

The organisation will verify the GATE score given in application form. Any false information may invite action, it said in the notice.

Interview will check candidates on technical knowledge, subject-specific awareness, presentation and communication skills, comprehension and academic achievements. For Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science posts, final merit list will be prepared by giving 50% weightage to GATE score and 50% to interview. Unreserved candidates need minimum 60% aggregate. Similar weightage apply for other disciplines also, with some relaxation for reserved categories.

 

How to Apply?

Applications can be submitted only through online recruitment portal on ISRO website. Candidates who are registered on National Career Service (NCS) portal and meet eligibility can also apply. After successful registration, applicants will get a registration number which they should keep safe for future use. ISRO advised candidates to give valid email ID while filling form.

Candidates who get shortlisted for interview will get second-class sleeper train fare reimbursement by shortest route to the interview place, as per ISRO rules.
