Correction Window close

Exam on September 6, Admit Card in First Week of September

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had opened the application form correction window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 session from June 15 to June 18, 2026. The window is now closed. Candidates who missed making corrections within the deadline will not be allowed to edit their application form under any circumstances, as per CBSE’s official notice.

What Was Editable During the Correction Window?

CBSE allowed candidates to make changes to the following fields during the correction window:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Father’s name / Mother’s name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Address, Mobile number, Email ID
  • Category
  • Name of school, college or university attended
  • Paper selection (Paper I or Paper II, subject to seat availability)
  • Language opted for Paper II

Note: Examination centres were not editable. CBSE has stated that exam centres will be allotted randomly.

What Was NOT Editable?

Once the correction window closed on June 18, no changes are allowed under any circumstances. CBSE does not accept offline correction requests. All details submitted at the time of form filling are now considered final.

CTET September 2026 Exam Pattern

CTET will be conducted in two papers on September 6, 2026:

Paper Timing For
Paper I 9:30 AM – 12:00 Noon Classes 1 to 5 (Primary Level)
Paper II 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM Classes 6 to 8 (Upper Primary Level)

Each paper will be of 2 hours 30 minutes duration.

Big Update: CTET Now in 27 Languages — Maithili Added

From the September 2026 session onwards, CTET will be conducted in 27 languages. CBSE has added Maithili as a new language option for candidates, expanding accessibility for students from Bihar and Jharkhand.

A score between 100–120 marks is generally considered a good score in CTET.

About CTET

CTET is a national-level teacher eligibility test conducted by CBSE twice a year. A valid CTET certificate is mandatory for teaching positions in central government schools including Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), and other central government-aided institutions.

What Should Candidates Do Now?

  • Keep your Application Number and Password safely saved
  • Regularly check ctet.nic.in for official updates
  • Expect Admit Card around the first week of September 2026
  • Begin exam preparation based on the official CTET syllabus and exam pattern
